I could not have been happier with the service from Seal The Damp. It was very easy to book someone, who came out quickly to survey the problem. He was able to identify the issues and explain them, and the solutions in an easy and detailed manner. He offered a number of possible solutions and explained the pros and cons of each and was able to answer all my questions. He then sent me a detailed plan of works with costings for which I was able to decide which way to proceed. They even managed to squeeze the first part of the work just before Christmas. I would highly recommend Seal the Damp, they are professional, informative, and genuinely honest. Adrian, the owner, came out personally to check the work and make sure I was happy. When John removed some of the skirtings, he pointed out that some of the damp was simply due to plaster being too close to the floor, and the plaster just needed chopping back, with no damp injection treatment needed, along with this the job was discounted as well. They didn’t have to mention it, but they did, which says a lot about their fairness and honesty. Competitively priced and trustworthy—highly recommended. Thank you guys.

The surveyor explained the findings clearly and gave practical, honest advice without any pressure. We could smell damp behind a kitchen unit and Adrian from Seal the Damp immediately identified the problem and recommended a solution. Communication with this company was excellent and I received a detailed survey as well as a very reasonable quote within twenty four hours, as promised. The measures taken have solved the problem. The work Adrian did outside the property was outstanding: a French drain he installed looks very smart and he also fixed an issue we had with collapsing block paving. I can’t thank Adrian and the helpful lady in the office enough for their time (not charged) knowledge and putting ours and our buyers at ease. We are in the process of selling our property and our buyers wanted a damp survey carried out, which is understandable on a very old cottage. The company they instructed (who charged for the survey) would not show us the readings as they were taken and didn’t include them on their survey, which we found unsettling. They then put in a ridiculous quote to have our damp issues rectified. This prompted our buyers to be very concerned and asked for the cost to be taken off our sale price. We decided to contact Seal The Damp for a second opinion, who came out for free, let us see the readings as they were taken and our fears were confirmed about the first company; they’d misled our buyers and put in a quote to remove plaster on a huge expanse of wall unnecessarily. More importantly, they made our lovely cottage look in bad condition. The end result, our buyers are happy, and they will be having the work done by Seal The Damp, at half the cost and is guaranteed. Highly recommend them.

Seal the Damp have been absolutely fantastic in resolving the damp issues at our property. They worked in four rooms within the week they were here and have been brilliant in all of them. The finish is great and, although it's early days, hopefully the problem is resolved. The communication has been excellent, especially considering we've never actually met face-to-face due to work commitments. Considering the amount of plaster removed and reapplied, in addition to the actual damp-proofing process, we're incredibly impressed with how the tidy the house was at the end of each day. The team are true professionals and I don't hesitate to recommend them to others.

At the beginning of June the Seal Team arrived to put a new damp proof course in the understairs cupboards and utility room. .It took 3 days during which time the team were exceptional. Very professional friendly and explained as they went along. Kept mess to a minimum and put plastic sheeting on the stairs to prevent dust going upwards. ( thank you John!) I was very impressed and would not hesitate to recommend the company to others. All shelving etc was put back exactly as before ( thank you Adam!) Also thanks Adie for the survey and advice.
